The activity of the WP 6 is focused on Corrosion Mechanisms, Methods and Modelling.
The Working Party's aims include the discussion and the dissemination of information on the development and the use of advanced surface analytical techniques (imaging and spectroscopy) to understand corrosion mechanisms and solve corrosion problems.
Publications in the EFC series:
- EFC 12 : Modifications of passive films.
- EFC 44 : The use of electrochemical scanning tunnelling microscopy (EC-STM) in corrosion analysis : reference materials and procedural guidelines.
- EFC 45 : Local probe techniques for corrosion research.
Special Projects:
A collaborative research program on the use of ToF-SIMS in corrosion research is planned. Anyone interested in participating is invited to contact Philippe Marcus ().
