Application to become a European or International EFC Member Society

  BENEFITS OF EFC MEMBERSHIP

Important benefits available to EFC Member Societies (European and International) include the opportunity to:

• Appoint members to the EFC Working Parties ;
  
• Nominate candidates for the EFC committees (Board of Administrators and Science & Technology Advisory Committee );
  
• Nominate candidates for the EFC awards ;
  
• Appoint a representative to the annual EFC General Assembly .

Furthermore, everyone who belongs to an EFC Member Society qualifies for reduced registration fees at EUROCORR and a 30% discount on the prices of the EFC publications .

European Member Societies can also submit bids to host EUROCORR conferences.

 MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

TO become a European Member Societies :

All applications for European membership must be addressed in writing to one of the offices of the EFC General Secretariat , which will submit them to the Board of Administrators. On the basis of a report by the latter, the General Assembly will make the final decision on acceptance or rejection of the application for European membership. The application should include:

• The completed application form,
  
• A description of the activities of the society or organisation in corrosion and corrosion protection.

TO become an International Member Societies :

Since 2006, scientific and technical societies and organisations located outside of Europe² may become International Member Societies of the Federation. All applications for international membership must be addressed in writing together to one of the offices of the EFC General Secretariat. The application should include:

• The completed application form,
  
• A description of the activities of the society or organisation in corrosion and corrosion protection.
• Letters of recommendation of thee European members of the Federation in good standing. This support will be organised on behalf of the applicant by the EFC;

The General Secretariat will submit the application to the Board of Administrators. On the basis of a report by the latter, the General Assembly will make the final decision on acceptance or rejection of the application for international membership.
